
Forthwith are presented the terms and conditions (T&Cs) that you, the customer, agree to be bound by when engaging the services and/or placing an order with us (Artem Tech Builds). Outlining these T&Cs makes transparent the rights of our customers as well as Artem Tech Builds and create the conditions in which we operate and require you to abide by and accept when engaging the business of Artem Tech Builds.
Please ensure that you read and understand the following conditions before purchasing from us:
1.Warranty & Returns
Artem Tech Builds (ATB) guarantees that its products are comprised of genuine components and are of proper working order. ATB prioritises the satisfaction of its customers above all else. If you believe that you are entitled to claim warranty on your purchase, ATB is committed to providing a swift and proper resolution.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. All rights provided under your ATB warranty are in addition to any rights you have as a consumer under ACL.
- The product must be accompanied with a proof purchase with any warranty claim. ATB has the right to refuse a warranty claim without a valid copy of receipt.
- The warranty is Return to Base. Customers are responsible for the proper packaging and the return of the goods. All warranties will be void on items that are insufficiently or inaccurately packaged. All return freight costs will be borne by the customer and insure the shipment or accept the risk of loss or damage during such shipment and transportation. ATB will not be held responsible for any goods damaged or lost during shipping or in transit. All claims will be forwarded to appropriate insurance companies.
- Goods presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired.
- The product must not have had its serial numbers or warranty stickers tampered with.
- Where we elect to replace the goods rather than repair, if the exact model of the goods is not available, we have the right to substitute the goods with a similar one.
- Warranty does not cover damage, fault, failure or malfunction due to external causes, including accident, abuse, misuse, problems with electrical power (including electrical surges), corrosion, installation and/or usage and/or storage not in accordance with product instructions and an act of God, fire, flood, war, act of violence or any similar occurrence. Failure of the product due to misuse or incorrect installation could void manufacturer’s warranty. Kindly note that it is not our intention to look for these things. However, if they are obviously the root cause or major contributing factor to any problem or damage, the warranty is therefore void and we will not accept their return.
- Problems caused by over clocking components to other than default settings intended by the manufacturer, will not be covered by the warranty which will also be voided thereafter.
- If you have purchased a computer system (i.e. installed computer components within a computer case) the warranty does not cover software, software configuration and any accessories or parts added to the computer system after the date of purchase.
- Software problems, corruptions, virus, spyware, malware, hardware/software conflicts and incompatibilities are not covered by the warranty.
- Damage arising out of any use or operation of the product purchased, outside of the physical, electrical or environmental specifications of the product could void the warranty.
- The extent of ATB’s warranty is limited to the cost or repair, replacement, or refund of returned goods covered by warranty. ATB shall not be liable for:

- Damages to other property caused by any defects in the product, damages based upon inconvenience, loss of use of the product, loss of time, loss of profits, loss of business opportunity, loss of goodwill, interference with business relationships, or other commercial loss, even if advised of their possibility of such damages.
- Loss of personal data/software applications/emails or any other data. It is the customer’s responsibility to backup such data.
- Any other damages, whether incidental, consequential, or otherwise.
- Any claim against the customer by any other party.
- If returned goods are found not to be faulty or if the goods are faulty yet not under warranty (either past the warranty period or not in accordance with the conditions that would permit a warranty claim), a service fee of up to $50 may apply. You will also be responsible for any shipping cost associated with returning the goods back to you.
- Before we agree for the customer to return their goods, we reserve the right to attempt to troubleshoot the problem with your product if there is a possibility that it may be fixed without the need to have the goods returned.
2.Change of Mind
ATB, at its discretion, does accept change of mind returns. This will be treated on a case by case basis, and ATB reserves the right, for any reason, to reject this type of return. If a change of mind return is accepted, a 20% restocking fee of the total order value will apply. It is the customer’s responsibility to return the goods, including any associated return shipping costs. ATB will not be held liable if the goods are damaged or lost while being returned to us. The return will only be accepted if the goods are returned in pristine condition without any damage whatsoever. We may also test the goods to confirm their working condition. If damage to the goods is detected, ATB will reject its return and send the goods back to the customer who will also bear any subsequent shipping costs if required. Alternatively, the reduction in value of the goods will be calculated by ATB and subtracted from the refund amount in addition to the restocking fee.
3.Order Cancellation
If you would like to cancel your order after you have made payment, you may do so without any penalty. This condition only applies if the goods you have purchased have either not been dispatched for shipment or picked up by the customer. If the goods have been either shipped or picked up, the order cannot be cancelled. If after this point the customer wishes to request a refund, they may request for a change of mind return which shall be granted or rejected at ATB’s discretion (see above).
4.Shipping/Delivery Information
Customers may choose to either pickup their order in person (the address will be supplied by email), or they may elect to have their goods shipped to them. We ship to all destinations in mainland Australia (include Tasmania) only, using TNT, Star Track & Australia Post. Shipping costs are calculated at the checkout. Generally, we will dispatch your order within 1 business day after payment has been received and stock is available. Delivery times vary; please refer to your tracking number provided to obtain shipping time updates.
5.Damage or Loss in Transit
If the goods suffer damage while being shipped to you, you must report this to ATB within 3 days of delivery accompanied with photos of the damage. We will then engage with the courier company and investigate the matter and lodge the insurance claim. This will be carried out in a timely manner, but the customer is required to allow such time for the investigation to process. During this time, the customer must not either use or dispose of the damaged goods including the packaging in which it was delivered. The customer should also be prepared to send the goods back in the original packaging if requested by either ATB or the courier.
If the customer suspects that the goods are lost in transit, they should contact the courier company and quote the tracking number provided to seek an update. If the parcel is confirmed lost, the customer must notify ATB within a reasonable time. We will then investigate the matter and lodge the insurance claim.
Upon successful conclusion of the insurance claim, ATB will replace the goods or refund the total amount of the order. ATB accepts no liability for damages or losses beyond replacement or reimbursement up to the original amount paid by the customer upon the completion of the required investigations and insurance lodgements stated above.
6.Payment Options
Advertised prices are in AUD and include GST (10%). ATB accepts payment through the following methods:
- Bank Transfer
- Credit/Debit Card
- PayPal
- Zippay
- Layaway
- Cash (Click & Collect orders only)
For such payment methods that involve the use of third party checkout solutions (e.g. PayPal, Zippay), it is the responsibility of the customer to agree to the terms and conditions specific to the third party in question. ATB has no control or influence over the T&Cs of using their services; it is recommended that you familiarise with their T&Cs (found on their respective website) before deciding the payment method you would like to proceed with.
For orders with which you elect to pay via Layaway, a 10% minimum deposit is required within the first 48 hours to secure the order and have it reserved for you. Layaway as a payment option is only available for orders containing fully prebuilt PCs. There is no set payment schedule that you are required to pay the instalments, nor is there a minimum amount required for each instalment. The only condition that you must agree to is to fully pay off the balance within 120 days from the first deposit. If the customer cancels the order before completing purchase of the order, but after making the first deposit, a dishonour fee of 5% of the total order value will apply. If the customer fails to complete payment within the 120 day limit, ATB at its discretion may grant leniency and extend the time limit. Conversely, ATB may decide to cancel the order for breaching this condition and refund the amount already paid minus the 5% dishonour fee.
ATB reserves the right to cancel and refund any order for cases where the product is for any reason no longer available. In such an event, a full refund of the amount paid will be given and no fee will apply. Full terms of layaway will be presented upon checkout before order confirmation and an electronic copy of the terms will be emailed to all customers who place a layaway order.
Product Recommendations and Descriptions.
While we are careful to recommend the most appropriate product for you based on your needs, any recommendation made by ATB should be treated as a guide only. The rapid advancement of technology as seen in the tech industry means that a recommendation may become outdated more quickly than expected. If you purchased a product from ATB based on a recommendation from us and it does not meet your expectations in terms of performance, its return is only acceptable if that recommendation was explicitly issued in writing and addressed to you specifically, and only if sufficient information to be able to reasonably determine the unsuitable nature of the product was provided by the customer prior to said recommendation being issued.
If a guarantee of compatibility, specification, feature or function is required pre-purchase the customer should request it in writing before ordering with all the relevant information clearly detailed in a manner that cannot be reasonably mistaken or misinterpreted.

If you wish to claim warranty for a product that is covered under the warranty period, please contact us. We will first try to troubleshoot it with you in order to get more information regarding what the issue could be. We will then advise you what the next step will be. Our aim is to resolve every valid warranty claim as quickly and easily as possible for our customers. For customers who have purchased from ATB a desktop computer, please note that if it cannot be established which component is faulty it may be required of you to return the entire computer for testing purposes.
If it is established that the product you have returned is not faulty, you will be responsible for all shipping costs including applicable costs for returning the product back to you. If the warranty claim is approved, you will be reimbursed all shipping fees.
For goods under approved warranty, ATB will repair, replace, or refund the returned products. This applies to any individual or combination of hardware component(s) that comprises the product purchased by the customer. Components discontinued by manufacturers shall be upgraded to a similar product or refund given at the current market value of the component in question.
